Making Shakespeare more accessible for students, including making the Bard's plays come alive in the classroom and on stage, is the goal of NESE's educational outreach program, which is aimed at schools and libraries in New Hampshire and Vermont.

Since 2004, NESE has provided students at schools and libraries with free tickets to its productions to help them appreciate what makes Shakespeare so enriching. In 2009 NESE expanded its educational outreach by conducting in-school workshops in 17 elementary and secondary schools in New Hampshire and Vermont and giving the students free and reduced-price tickets to its professional performances at the Lebanon Opera House. In all, NESE gave over 4,000 free and reduced-price tickets to students, their family members and friends through schools and through 28 New Hampshire and 23 Vermont libraries.

NESE has been recognized for its educational outreach program with grants from the N.H. State Council on the Arts, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, the Arthur Getz Foundation/Citizens Bank, and the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation.
