On June 19, 2008, NESE's production of Much Ado About Nothing, Shakespeare's popular romantic comedy, opens at the Lebanon Opera House, Lebanon, NH. NESE has consistently presented high quality, high energy productions featuring talented professional theatre artists - actors, directors, designers - from all over the Northeast and we are well on the road to building a strong, classical theatre company. In addition, our educational outreach to schools is growing in numbers of students benefiting from in-school workshops and attending NESE productions.
Building a classical theatre company is hard work...and it's also expensive. Since our inception, we have been blessed with the extraordinary generosity of a number of very key individuals; however, these hearty few cannot be expected to continue to underwrite NESE's good work in the community forever. Distinguished Dartmouth Professor Roger D. Masters, who saw our 2007 production of King Lear and wrote a thoughtful review in the Valley News, commented that "theatre of this quality must be supported." We've heard a groundswell of similar comments following this production, but talk must now turn to action.
Please take a moment to consider what good theatre right here in our community means to you, and to your children and grandchildren and then translate that thought into support for NESE -- pledge your financial support today. Thank you.
