For its fifth anniversary season, NESE is staging Shakespeare's popular romantic comedy Much Ado About Nothing at the Lebanon Opera House, in Lebanon, NH, opening June 19, 2008. See our synopsis.

NESE's inaugural 2004 presentation of Twelfth Night enjoyed widespread press coverage and rave reviews from highly enthusiastic audiences. Building on this momentum, we devoted our 2005 season to growth and outreach, and produced our first non-Shakespearean classic, The Gin Game in New London, NH. In 2006 we staged the magical and enchanting A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Lebanon Opera House, followed by the tumultuous tragedy King Lear in 2007, and once again audiences praised the production and valued the opportunity to experience quality live theatre without having to travel to Boston, New York or Montreal.
